International Postgraduate Philosophy of Education Summer School

Dr John Tillson is one of the tutors at this year’s philosophy of education summer school at the University of Birmingham. The theme for this year’s postgraduate event is “Moral Education in Plural Societies”. The Lead Tutor is Michael Hand, Professor of Philosophy of Education at the University of Birmingham and author of A Theory of Moral Education (Routledge, 2018).

The event, which runs from Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 June is funded by the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain. Successful applicants will need to fund their travel, but attendance including accommodation and meals is funded by the Society.

To apply, please send:
• one sample of academic work (max 1500 words) or a research outline (PhD students only)
• a CV (maximum 2 sides A4)
• a letter of recommendation from an academic supervisor
• a short covering letter explaining why you would like to attend the Summer School to Dr Ruth Wareham.

The application deadline is 5pm on Friday 13 April 2018.
